Makem was born in Springfield, Mass...is majoring in sport & recreation management at Curry...the son of Adam and Siobhan Demers...has two sisters, Reilly and Reighan...favorite spot on campus: Student Center...chose Curry for the opportunity to play on the men's ice hockey team

Makem is a 2019 graduate of Pope Francis Preparatory School in Springfield, Mass...played four years of varsity ice hockey, lacrosse, and soccer for the Cardinals...named Most Valuable Player in Western Massachusetts in ice hockey...played junior hockey for the Maine Nordiques of the North American Hockey League
