Women's Cross Country Places 12th at James Sheehan Invitational

FITCHBURG, Mass. – The Curry College women's cross country team opened the 2019 season at the Jim Sheehan Memorial Alumni Invitational at the Doyle Conservation Center on Saturday afternoon and placed 12th in the meet.

Leading the way for Curry was freshman Haley Covillion (Bellow Falls, Vt.), who finished in 109th place in a time of 26:12. Following Covillion was senior Karina Murcia (Culver City, Calif.), who placed 115th in a time of 27:31. Junior Kelsie Rainone (Plainville, Mass.) finished in 118th with a time of 29:21. Freshman Ariana Boostrom (Rockland, Mass.) placed behind Rainone in a time of 29:58. Rounding out the runners for the Colonels was sophomores Nicole Bobadilla (Marshfield, Mass.) (121st place, 30:13), and Ashley Cloutier (Bridgewater, Mass.), who placed 122nd finishing the race in a time of 30:14.

Curry will return to the course on Saturday, September 14 for the University of New England Invitational. The meet is scheduled to begin at 10:45 a.m.
