Men's Soccer Falls to Golden Bears

Milton, MA - In their final home game of the season, the Curry men's soccer team fell to the Western New England Golden Bears 3-1. The loss drops the Colonels to 6-9-4 on the season, and 0-4-4 in CNE play. The Golden Bears are now 8-8-3 and 4-3-1.

Western New England would control the first half, outshooting the Colonels 12-2, and accumulating six corner kicks, to the Colonels' none. They would find the back of the net in the 26th minute, and then doubled their lead in the 40th minute. But the Colonels would come out of the halftime break with some energy, and cut the lead in half when Giovanni Martins found Kaden Puglia for a Curry goal. But WNE would push the lead back to two with a 70th minute goal.

Ryan McGourty made six saves in net for the Colonels.

Up Next - The Colonels will wrap up their season on Tuesday when they travel to Roger Williams for a 4pm game.
