Emmanuel Races Past Men's Basketball, 91-51

BOSTON, Mass. – Emmanuel College shot 50 percent from the floor and 45.5 percent from three-point range in a 91-51 victory over Curry College on Tuesday night in non-conference men's basketball action at the Andy Yosinoff Court.

Emmanuel's Jack Moulder (Newtown, Conn.) led all scorers with 22 points on 8-for-15 shooting and added three rebounds, one assist, and one steal in 26 minutes. He was also 5-for-10 from beyond the arc on the night.

The Saints had two other players score in double digits. Anthony Davidson (Annapolis, Md.) came off the bench to put up 12 points, four rebounds and two assists. Zachary Crisafulli (Easthampton, Mass.) shot 4-for-5 from the field en route to 12 points, four rebounds, one assist, and one steal.

Jared Thorpe-Johnson (Dorchester, Mass.) and Alex Stein (Mount Olive, N.J.) netted 10 points apiece to pace the Colonels. Thorpe-Johnson grabbed a team-high five rebounds while Jon Joel (Cranston, R.I.) handed out five assists.

Emmanuel never trailed and built a double-digit lead 12 minutes into the contest. Moulder did his damage from distance while his teammates raced out for easy points in transition, capitalizing off of 11 first-half turnovers. Moulder had 14 points by the break as the Saints led by a 42-23 margin.

The story was the same in the second half as Emmanuel continued to play an up-tempo pace. The Saints took care of the basketball (11 turnovers) and consistently found the open man, finishing with 18 assists on 33 field goals. Marcus Fox (Danbury, Conn.) and Emmett Riddick (Middletown, Conn.) led the way with three assists apiece.

Curry (0-5 overall) will return to action on November 28 at Endicott at 5:30 p.m. for its Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) opener. Emmanuel (2-2 overall) will next host Westfield State on Tuesday, November 27 at 5:30 p.m.
