Womens Cross Country Places 14th at the Western New England Invitational

SPRINGFIELD, Mass.  – Roger Williams University, won the women's race at the Western New England Invitational on Saturday morning.

Roger Williams finished with 61 points, Salve Regina was second with 83, followed by Colby-Sawyer (104), Gordon College (124) and Eastern Connecticut State (129).

Curry was led by freshman ElizaMarie Quinn-Alger (Harwinton, Conn.) who placed 44th with a time of 21:35.  Quinn-Alger was followed by senior Jessica Leary (Pembroke, Mass.), 22:58 (85th), sophomore Lydia Hixson (West Hartford, Conn.), 23:15 (97th), freshman Victoria Gatley (Hanson, Mass.), 24:16 (135th), freshman Hannah Wells (Whitman, Mass.), 24:45, (146th), junior Leigha Sweeney (Braintree, Mass.), 25:13 (154th) and sophomore Meghan MacLeod (Yarmouthport, Mass.), 25:17 (158th).  The Colonels will next compete at the CCC Championship on Saturday, November 1 (TBA).
