SPRINGFIELD, Mass. - Curry College was defeated in three straight sets by Western New England University in a Conference of New England women's volleyball match Wednesday night at Anthony S. Caprio Alumni Healthful Living Center. Set scores were 25-19, 25-17, 25-17.

With the loss, the Colonels fall to an overall record of 0-13 and a conference record of 0-2.

Curry was within striking distance in each set, led by Kyah Earls (San Francisco, Calif.) who finished a team-high nine kills and nine digs. Abby Sousa (Seekonk, Mass.) led the squad with 12 assists while Sonja Matheson (Voluntown, Conn.) and Jasmyne Fillippini (Plymouth, Mass.) dished out two service aces each.

Curry College returns to action with a non-conference road match against Lesley on Friday, October 4th, beginning at 7 p.m.
