BANGOR, Maine - Curry College was defeated 3-0 by Husson University in a collegiate non-conference women's volleyball game at Willam P. Newman Gymnasium. Set scores were 25-18, 25-19, 25-23.

With the loss, the Colonels fall to an overall record of 0-6 on the season.

After dropping the first two sets, Curry nearly took set number three with a Kyah Earls (alif. Francisco, C) service ace tying the score at 20-20 late in the set. The Colonels ultimately fell short, losing the set by two to give Husson the match win.

Earls led the squad with six kills while Abby Sousa ( Seekonk, Mass.) paced the Colonels with six assists. Sonja Matheson (Voluntown, Conn.) led all players with a game-high 11 digs.

Curry College returns to action on Wednesday, September 11th, in a road match against Johnson & Wales, beginning at 7 p.m.
