Women’s Volleyball Tripped Up in Tri-Match

PORTLAND, Maine - Curry College was defeated 3-0 in both games of a tri-match against the University of Southern Maine and Colby-Sawyer on Saturday afternoon at Hill Gym.

MATCH ONE: Southern Maine (25-13, 25-14, 25-16)

Meghan Abbott (Stoughton, Mass.) and Kyah Earls (San Francisco, Calif.) paced the Colonels offensively with five kills each. Emma St. Cyr (Dover, N.H.) dealt out seven assists while Sonja Matheson (Voluntown, Conn.) and Jasmyne Fillippini (Plymouth, Mass.) finished with seven digs each.

MATCH TWO: Colby-Sawyer (25-11, 25-15, 25-14)

Abbott led the Colonels again in game two with five kills while St. Cyr had a team-high five assists. Earls led all players with 10 digs.

Curry College returns to action on Sunday, September 8th, in a road match against Husson beginning at 2 p.m.
