Women's Volleyball Knocked Off by Wentworth

BOSTON, Mass. - The Curry College women's volleyball team suffered a 3-0 defeat to the Wentworth Institute of Technology Tuesday evening in Commonwealth Coast Conference action at the Tansey Gymnasium. Set scores were 25-10, 25-13, and 25-16.

With the defeat, Curry drops to 4-18 overall on the season and 0-6 in CCC play.

Offensively, Curry was paced by senior Lauren Guzman (Cranston, R.I.), who finished the evening with seven kills. She also chipped in seven digs and one block.

Junior libero Avia Fraine (Mattapoisett, Mass.) added nine digs to lead the Colonels. Other Curry statistical leaders were sophomore Lexie Jenkins (Burns, Wyo.), who had a trio of service aces, and senior Brooke Reissfelder (Biddeford, Maine), who dished out 11 assists.

Next up for the Colonels, they will be back in action on Thursday evening with their final non-conference contest of the season, hosting Dean College at 6 p.m. at the Dr. Eleanor Meyerhoff Katz Gymnasium.
