Women's Volleyball Stumped by MCLA

MILTON, Mass. - The Curry College women's volleyball team dropped a 3-0 decision to Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts Saturday afternoon in non-conference action at Katz Gymnasium. Set scores were 26-24, 25-21, 25-23.

With the defeat, Curry drops to 6-3 on the season, while MCLA improves to 4-2.

Curry was paced by senior outside hitter Lexi Pereira (Attleboro, Mass.), who led the way with a 12-kill, 11-dig double-double. Setter Brooke Reissfelder (Biddeford, Maine) had a double-double of her own with 25 assists and 11 digs, while libero Avia Fraine (Mattapoisett, Mass.) contributed 10 digs and matched a team-high with three service aces in the defeat. 

MCLA got nine kills each from Reagan Scattergood and Kelly Moczulski to lead the attack. Libero Ellie Walter-Goodspeed notched a match-high 19 digs to pace the defense.

The Colonels will be back on the hardwood on Tuesday for their CCC opener against Nichols College. First serve is slated for 6 p.m.
