MILTON, Mass. – Curry College Athletics has announced the implementation of the Summer Spotlight series, which will feature profiles of returning student-athletes and coaches across the Colonels' 14 NCAA Division III programs.
We continue the series with Emilie Wilkenson (Lawrenceville, Ga.), a sophomore from our women's volleyball program:
How did you get into your sport? I found a flyer stuck in my locker sophomore year.
Why did you choose Curry? Curry had everything I needed, especially volleyball.
What hobbies do you have outside of your sport? Music, Creating Content, Reading, Netflix.
Are you involved in other activities on the Curry campus? If so, explain. Black Student Union, RISE Up Program
What is your dream job? Emergency/Trauma Physician
What is your greatest sports moment? Getting the last point with a great kill or block.
What is your favorite thing to do off the playing surface with your teammates? Team bonding and going out to eat.
Interesting fact about yourself? I love to sing, and I'm good at it.
Three things on your "bucket list"? 1. Live overseas, 2. Jump out of a helicopter, and 3. Try Cajun food.
