MILTON, Mass. - Curry College freshman middle blocker Nicole Rice (Woburn, Mass.) has been named as the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) Rookie of the Week for the period ending on October 26.

Rice led the Colonels to the first CCC victory in program history with a 3-1 triumph over Gordon. Rice averaged 1.58 kills and 1.08 blocks per set, while hitting .175 over three matches. In the thrilling 3-1 win over the Fighting Scots, she had five kills and seven blocks.

Rice also collected 13 kills in a 3-2 setback at Salem State.
