Women's Volleyball Season Ends with a 3-0 Loss to Visiting Eastern Nazarene

MILTON, Mass. – Curry College was defeated by visiting Eastern Nazarene College, 3-0, in Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) women's volleyball action Thursday night in Milton. The Lions improved to 14-15 on the season and 2-5 in conference, while the Colonels concluded their season at 9-18 overall and 0-8 in CCC play.

Curry fell to Eastern Nazarene in the first set, 25-15. In the second and third sets, the Lions maintained a steady lead en route to 25-16 and 25-13 wins, respectively.

Eastern Nazarene was led by senior Cayla Clinkscale (Winchendon, Mass.) and sophomore Hannah Welsh (Derry, N.H.) with nine kills apiece. Freshman Lauryl Berger (Laurel, Del.) recorded a match-high 29 assists. Senior Sam Losano (Elverta, Calif.) chipped in with 10 digs.

Junior Hannah Robison (Cumberland, R.I.) led Curry with team bests in assists (10) and digs (9).Freshman classmates Alyssa Keeney (Coventry, Conn.) and Nicole Grambley (North Attleboro, Mass.) each delivered six kills. Junior Emily Boudreau (Marshfield, Mass.) had three total blocks (one solo).

Eastern Nazarene will resume action on Saturday, November 2 hosting a tri-match with Framingham State and CCC rival Gordon College.
