Women's Volleyball Sweeps Past the University of Southern Maine, 3-0, at Salem State Tri-Match

SALEM, Mass. - The Curry College Women's Volleyball team split a pair of matches at Salem State on Saturday, losing to the host Vikings, 3-0 (14-25, 22-25, 23-25), before defeating the University of Southern Maine, 3-0 (25-12, 25-9, 25-10). The Colonels are now 3-11 overall.

Against Salem State, Curry turned in an excellent defensive show, especially from Tyla Miller, but was hurt by seven service errors. Courtney DiBiasio led the offensive attack with eight kills.
Miller had 14 digs, while Kaitlyn Poirier and Hannah Robison had 13 and 12 assists, respectively. Jenna Butera paced the squad in both blocks (3) and service aces (3).

Against Southern Maine, the Colonels turned their service game around with 15 aces as a team
and only three errors. The strong serving (Kendra LeMay and Jessica Crugnale with five aces apiece), solid offense and consistent contributions from Christina Wallis, Melissa Spillane and Lauren Schneider led to the victory. Crugnale (6) and Butera (5) had team highs in kills. Miller collected 11 more digs, while Robison and Poirier dished out 11 and 10 more assists,
respectively.
