MILTON, Mass. - The Curry College women's tennis team was defeated 7-2 by Rhode Island College Thursday afternoon in Commonwealth Coast Conference action at the Trent J. Scott '96 Tennis Courts.
With the defeat, the Colonels drop to 0-7 overall on the season.
Curry got a win at first doubles position, where senior Sasha Borkov (Newton, Mass.) and junior Serena Wilson (Windsor, Conn.) teamed up for an 8-3 win.
Borkov got the job done at first singles as well, where she defeated RIC's Erica Botelho 6-0, 6-1 for her fourth consecutive doubles/singles sweep.
The Colonels will be back on the court on Saturday, returning to Commonwealth Coast Conference play with a road trip to Nichols College. First serves in doubles play are slated for 1 p.m.
