Women's Tennis Dropped by Westminster

KISSIMMEE, Fla. - The Curry College women's tennis team fell 7-2 to Westminster College on Thursday afternoon at the Oak Street Tennis Center to wrap up its Spring Break trip.

With the defeat, Curry falls to 1-14 overall on the season.

Westminster won all three doubles matches to open the day with a 3-0 advantage heading to singles play.

In singles, Curry got its first victory of the day at the first position. Junior Sasha Borkov (Newton, Mass.) picked up the win for Curry, defeating Westminster's Emma Sukal by a margin of 6-3, 6-2. 

Curry also won at the sixth position, where sophomore Samantha Ferrara (Brewster, N.Y.) knocked off Caroline Fox 6-3, 4-6, 10-8.

The Colonels will return from its Spring Break trip to close its season at home against Regis College on Saturday, April 1. First serves from the Trent J. Scott '96 Tennis Courts are slated for 2 p.m.
