KISSIMMEE, Fla. - The Curry College women's tennis team dropped an 8-1 decision to Millsaps College Monday afternoon in its spring opener at the Oak Street Tennis Center.
With the defeat, Curry drops to 2-13 overall on the season and 0-1 on its Florida Spring Break trip.
Curry got its only win of the day at first singles, where Sasha Borkov (Newton, Mass.) continued her impressive sophomore season with a 6-4, 6-3 victory over Kiana Everhart.
The Majors picked up wins in all three doubles matches and in singles positions two through six.
The Colonels will have a quick turnaround, playing Illinois Tech later this even at 6:30 p.m., also at the Oak Street Tennis Center.
