BELMONT, Mass. - The Curry College women's tennis team fell to Suffolk University by a final score of 6-3 Saturday morning in Commonwealth Coast Conference action.
With the defeat, Curry falls to 2-3 overall on the season and 0-2 in the CCC.
Curry got the job done at the top of the lineup, winning at first doubles on an 8-3 victory from the tandem of Alexandra Borkov (Newton, Mass.) and Serena Wilson (Windsor, Conn.). Suffolk however won both the second and third doubles matches to take a 2-1 lead into singles play.
Borkov made quick work of her Suffolk opponent to tie the match at 2-2 with a 6-0, 6-1 victory at first singles, but Suffolk would win the next three singles matches to finish to secure the win. Wilson won in a third set tie-break at second singles for Curry's final point of the day.
Curry will be back in action on Tuesday as they continue CCC action with a road match against Nichols College.
