MILTON, Mass. – Curry College Athletics has announced the implementation of the Summer Spotlight series, which will feature profiles of returning student-athletes and coaches across the Colonels' 14 NCAA Division III programs.
We continue the series with McKenna Reid (Irvine, Calif.), a rising sophomore from our women's soccer program:
How did you get into your sport? I started playing softball, but I was bad, so I tried soccer and stuck with it.
Why did you choose Curry? I chose Curry because of the nursing program and because my grandparents went here.
What hobbies do you have outside your sport? I like cooking and gardening.
Are you involved in other activities on the Curry campus? If so, explain. Curry Consent
What is your dream job? Nurse Practitioner
What is your greatest sports moment? Scoring a header in a high school game against the No. 1 team in our conference. We ended up winning and taking first place in our conference.
What is your favorite thing to do off the playing surface with your teammates? Team meals or going to boxing classes with them.
Interesting fact about yourself? I'm pigeon-toed.
Three things on your "bucket list"? 1. Sit court side at a basketball game, 2. Go to Japan, and 3. Learn to speak another language.
