Women's Soccer Holds Annual Alumni Game

MILTON, Mass. - On Sunday April 19several former Colonels returned to Walter M. Katz Field to play a friendly match against members of the current Curry Women's Soccer Team in the annual Women's Soccer Alumni Game.

"Connecting the present with the past is very important to me and my coaching staff," said fourth-year Head Coach Jason Tassinari.  "I was so happy that my current players could make an emotional and visual connection with some of the players who paved the way for where they are today."

The former Colonels played against the current Colonels for 75 minutes, and then enjoyed a barbeque afterward.

"This was by far the best alumni turnout since I've been here (25 total players), which is very exciting", said Tassinari. "We had players from the Class of 2015 playing alongside some players from the Class of 1981 and 1983. We even had a few players who were on the very first team in the late 1970s."
