Summer Spotlight - Mya Medeiros

Summer Spotlight - Mya Medeiros

MILTON, Mass. – Curry College Athletics has announced the implementation of the Summer Spotlight series, which will feature profiles of returning student-athletes and coaches across the Colonels' 14 NCAA Division III programs.

We continue the series with Mya Medeiros (East Freetown, Mass.), a rising junior from our women's lacrosse program:

How did you get into your sport? I started playing in high school when my school stared their program!

Why did you choose Curry? It's a great place to be near Boston and study nursing.

What hobbies do you have outside your sport? I like hiking, adventuring, and going to the beach.

What is your dream job? I want to be a physician assistant one day.

What is your greatest sports moment? Just the feeling of running out onto the field. It's euphoric every time.

What is your favorite thing to do off the playing surface with your teammates? Traveling!

Interesting fact about yourself? I love to read!

Three things on your "bucket list"? 1. Start my own business, 2. Have a family, and 3. Travel the world.

Do you have any pregame/pre-event rituals? If so, what are they? I always say a prayer for those who can't be with me on game day.
