Women's Lacrosse Tripped Up 19-4  to No. 11 Nationally-Ranked Conference Foe Roger Williams Unviersity

MILTON, Mass. – The Curry College women's lacrosse team dropped the regular season finale to visiting Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) opponent Roger Williams University by a score of 19-4. The Colonels finish with a 10-7 regular season record and a 3-5 record in the CCC. The Hawks improve to finish at 13-3 overall and 8-0 in the conference.

Junior Kelly Parker (Branford, Conn.) led the way scoring three goals for Curry and she was followed by classmate Lauren Carroll (Providence, R.I.) who scored the other goal.  Junior McKenna Everding (Fayetteville, N.Y.) led Roger Williams with seven goals and an assist with sophomore Kaelin Hogan (Bethel, Conn.) following closely with five goals and two assists. Classmate Carly Martin (Scituate, Mass.) scored a pair and five other Hawks registered goals.

Parker wasted no time opening the scoring and found the back of the net just over three minutes into the contest. Everding and Hogan responded with five goals over 12 minutes, four of them from Everding. Carroll and Parker teamed up to make the score 5-3 with just under ten minutes to play in the half. Everding and Martin then sandwiched two of Hogan's goals to send the 9-3 score to halftime.

Roger Williams scored their final ten goals in a row in the second half and Parker closed the scoring with just under 30 seconds to go to put the final score at 19-4. Senior Annie Douglas (Manchester, N.H.) registered the loss to drop her final record to 10-7 after making six saves. Junior Kimberly Bolk (Point Jefferson Station, N.Y.) earned the win to finalize her 13-3 record following her 11-save effort.

The Colonels will enter the conference quarterfinal game as the #6 seed and travel to the #3 seed University of New England on Saturday, April 30 for a 12:00 p.m. game start.
