Women's Lacrosse Downs Rhode Island College 25-5

MILTON, Mass.- Curry College defeated Rhode Island College 25-5 on Monday in Milton.  With the win the Colonels improve to 11-4 overall.  The Anchormen fall to 3-6 overall. 

Curry scored 18 first half goals while Rhode Island College scored four of their five goals as the Colonels led at half-time 18-4. 

The Colonels would possess the ball most of the second half but still outscored the Anchormen 7-1.  Curry also won 24 of 32 draw controls and had 28 caused turnovers.

Senior Ashley Hansbury (Chelmsford, Mass.) and junior Jessie Koffman (Andover, Mass.) led all Curry scorers with four goals and four assists for eight points each.  Senior Carissa Lauyer (Bloomsbury, N.J) also scored four goals while dishing out one assist.  Senior Rachel Robichaud (Billerica, Mass.) and juniors Elissa Bulgatz(Chicago, IL) and Kelly Champagne (Wolfeboro, N.H). each scored three goals.  Freshman Ana Bottary (Hull, Mass.) scored two goals and sophomores Sam Dziubek (Southington, CT) and Heather Breton (Wolfeboro, N.H) tallied one.

The Anchormen were led by freshman Haley Lattinville (North Kingstown, RI) who finished the day with two goals.  Sophomores Nickey Drolet (Somersworth, N.H) and Molly Voyer (Lincoln, RI) and freshman Ashley Appel (Foxboro, Mass.) each had one.

Junior Maria Lynch (Billerica, Mass) played in net for the first half and made nine saves for the win. Junior Kate Noe (Greenwich, CT) and freshman Emily LeBlanc (Abington, Mass.) split time in the second half and made two stops each.  In net for Rhode Island College was freshman Kerri Montgomery (Franklin, Mass.) who made 10 saves.

The Colonels will host Roger Williams University on Wednesday, April 21 for a 4:00 p.m game time. Rhode Island College hosts UMass Dartmouth on Tuesday April 20 for a 4:00 p.m. game start.
