Reid and Mardesich Earn CNE Weekly Awards for Women’s Ice Hockey

Two Curry College women's ice hockey players earned Conference of New England Weekly Awards, announced by the league office on Monday afternoon.

Danielle Reid earned her second straight Player of the Week Award, scoring four goals through a pair of big wins over the weekend. Reid scored twice in a blowout 7-2 win against Keene St. on Friday and socred her other two in a competitive 4-2 loss to Enicott the following day. Reid is putting up career-highs in her senior campaign, with a team-high 18 goals while adding four assists for a total of 22 points and a +5 plus/minus stat.

Bella Mardesich earned her first Rookie of the Week Award, breaking out with three goals and one assist for her first career hat-trick in the win over Keene. Mardesich is tied with Grayson Goolgasian for the second-most goals on the team with nine, adding five assists for a total of 14 points on the season.

Reid, Mardesich, and the Curry College women's ice hockey team return to action with a playoff game on Saturday, March 1st, opponent and time to be announced.
