Rye, NY - The Curry Women's Hockey team used a late goal in the third period on Sunday to tie with Manhattanville 2-2. The Colonels are now 4-6-1 on the season, while the Valiants are 4-6-2.
Grayson Goolgasian opened the scoring for the Colonels, finding the back of the net a little over four minutes into the game. But a second period goal, and another midway through the third, saw the Colonels trailing. But Goolgasian would strike again with just three minutes to go in the game, her seventh goal of the season.
Despite outshooting the Valiants 7-1 in overtime, the Colonels could not find a game winning goal.
The Colonels outshot the Valiants 45-22 in the game, and won the faceoff battle 34-22. This was led by a fantastic showing from Hannah Berkowitz, who won 20 of 24 faceoffs she took. The 20 wins ties her own mark for second most in a game in program history, trailing only her own record of 22.
Coriann Hoag stopped 20 shots in the draw.
Up next - The Colonels will take on a top five ranked opponent on Friday, when they travel to Amherst.
