Canton, MA - The Curry Women's Hockey team bounced back from a Friday loss by beating the same JWU team 5-3 on Saturday. With the win, the Colonels are now 4-3-0 on the season, and 3-3-0 in CNE play. The Wildcats are now 4-3-0 and 4-2-0.

The Colonels got things going almost immediately, as Tommi Nash scored two and a half minutes into the game. Her goal was assisted by Katie Corteau and Kayley Hansen, and it put Curry up 1-0. But two goals in under two minutes gave JWU a 2-1 lead. The Colonels would regroup quickly and tied things up at two just two minutes later on a Danielle Reid goal. That goal was assisted by Hannah Berkowitz and Grayson Goolgasian. The Wildcats would score once more to close out a high scoring first period.

The second period was the opposite, as zero goals were scored. Entering the third trailing a goal, the Colonels came out with a purpose. Reid would score her second goal of the game seven minutes into the final period, tying things up at three. Berkowitz then scored the go ahead goal with just over four minutes left in the game. Grayson Goolgasian then added an insurance goal with just over a minute left in the game to clinch the win.

The newly put together line of Reid (two goals, one assist), Berkowitz (one goal, one assist), and Goolgasian (one goal, three assists) gave the Colonels the scoring boost they needed, and led the team to the win.

For the second straight day, Berkowitz was also absolutely dominant in the faceoff circle, matching her 15-18 mark from the day before.

Sarah Kerr made 18 saves in net for the Colonels.

Curry outshot the Wildcats 40-21.

Up Next - The Colonels will have some time off, next playing on Friday, December 6th, when they host Suffolk at 7pm.
