Women's Ice Hockey Blanked by Southern Maine

PORTLAND, Maine - Curry College was defeated 2-0 by the University of Southern Maine Friday night in a non-conference collegiate women's ice hockey game at the USM Ice Arena.

With the loss, the Colonels drop to an overall record of 1-1 on the young season.

Grayson Goolgasian (Johnston, R.I.) led the Curry attack with eight total shots, five of which were on target. Ali Olorenshaw (Saskatoon, Saskatchewan) was another significant part of the offensive scheme, finishing with four shots on goal off of five total shots.

Soleil Archambeault (London, Ontario) played the entire game in net for the Colonels, finishing with 28 saves for a percentage of .933.

Curry College returns to action on Saturday (11/4) in a rematch at home against the University of Southern Maine at 3 p.m.
