Women's Ice Hockey Falls to Endicott in Regular Season Finale

CANTON, Mass. - The Curry College women's ice hockey team dropped a 6-1 decision to Endicott College on Saturday afternoon in Commonwealth Coast Conference play at Raymond J. Bourque Arena.

With the defeat, Curry ends the regular season with a mark of 8-15-2 overall on the season and 5-11-2 in CCC play.

Curry's Danielle Stein (Plainview, N.Y.) opened the scoring just under five minutes into the contest on her team-leading eighth goal of the season. The sophomore collected a feed from rookie Ella Altiman (Chatham, Ontario) and roofed a shot on the short side to put Curry ahead 1-0.

Endicott responded with three goals in the first period to take a 3-1 advantage into the second. 

The Gulls scored once in the second and twice in the third to secure the 6-1 victory.

Between the pipes, freshman Sarah Kerr (Cochrane, Alberta) stopped 33 shots in the defeat. Sophomore Vivi Helquist (Proctor, Minn.) went into the contest late for her season debut and did not allow a goal.

Next up for Curry, they will take part in the CCC Tournament, starting with a road game for the first round on Wednesday. Time, opponent, and location are currently to be determined.
