Colonels Blanked by Endicott College

BEVERLY, Mass. - Curry College Women's Ice Hockey fell to Commonwealth Coast Conference opponent Endicott College by a final score of 6-0 on the road Friday evening.

With the loss, Curry moves forward with an overall record of 7-9-2 and 4-6-2 in the CCC.

The hosts struck first in the conference matchup, Kellie Popkin burying a shot past Soleil Archambeault (London, Ontario) to put the Gulls up 1-0 just 35 seconds into the contest. A second goal midway through the first would send the matchup into the first intermission with Endicott leading 2-0.

Endicott notched three additional goals through the second period to take a 5-0 lead heading into the third period. 

A goal from Endicott's Kat Keith in the final moments of the matchup sealed the 6-0 victory for the Endicott College Gulls on home ice.

Curry's senior netminder Soleil Archambeault turned aside 20 of the 24 shots she faced as freshman goalie Sarah Kerr tallied 26 saves on 28 shots faced in the Commonwealth Coast Conference loss on the road.

The Colonels get back out on the ice Saturday afternoon as they host Endicott at the Canton Ice House at 3 PM.
