EAST BOSTON, Mass. - Curry College Women's Ice Hockey fell to Commonwealth Coast Conference opponent Suffolk University by a final score of 4-1 on the road Friday evening.

With the loss, Curry moves forward with an overall record of 6-7-2 and 4-4-2 in the CCC.

The conference matchup saw a scoreless first period in East Boston, Mass. with the hosting Rams outpacing the Colonels 14-3 on shots through the opening 20 minutes.

Suffolk netted the first goal of the matchup on a power-play opportunity 1:54 into the second period, Shana Cote marking her first of three goals of the evening to put her side on the board first.

Just under 15 minutes later the Colonels tied up the CCC contest, Curry's Danielle Stein (Plainview, N.Y.) ripped a shot past Suffolk's Lily O'Neil, assisted by Katie Courteau (Warroad, Minn.) and Ali Olorenshaw (Saskatoon, Sask.). 

Three additional goals from the Rams in the third period would seal the conference victory for the hosts with a final score of 4-1.

Curry's senior netminder Soleil Archambeault turned aside 53 of the 57 shots she faced in the Commonwealth Coast Conference loss on the road.

The Colonels get back out on the ice Saturday afternoon as they host Suffolk University at the Canton Ice House at 3 PM.
