Women's Ice Hockey Doubled Up by Nichols

HARRISVILLE, R.I. - The Curry College women's ice hockey team dropped a 4-2 decision to Nichols College Saturday evening in Commonwealth Coast Conference action at Levy Rink.

With the loss, Curry falls to 1-7-0 overall and 1-5-0 in the league.

The Colonels got all of its scoring in the third period, starting off with the fourth goal of the season from Asher Printzen (Las Vegas, Nev.) at the 14:42 mark. Kenzie Fogarty (Roseville, Calif.) was credited with an assist on the play.

Less than three minutes later, Danielle Stein (Plainview, N.Y.) scored an unassisted goal to get Curry within two, but her team could get no closer and the game concluded with a 4-2 final.

Freshman Anna Langton (Zimmerman, Minn.) was strong between the pipes for Curry making 28 saves, but took the loss.

Curry will return to play on Tuesday evening to host New England College at the Canton Ice House for a non-conference battle. Puck drop is slated for 7 p.m.
