Janey Mathisen was named the assistant coach of the Curry College women’s basketball program in the Summer of 2023.

Before Curry, Mathisen worked as a basketball coach in Hanover, Mass., where she also teaches high school mathematics.

Mathisen attended St. Mary’s College of Maryland, where she was a member of the women’s basketball team from 2016 through 2019. She graduated from St. Mary's in 2020 with a Bachelor of Arts in mathematics. She went on to graduate with a Master of Arts in teaching in math education from St. Mary's in 2021.

Mathisen is a resident in Marshfield, Mass.
