
MILTON, Mass. - Curry College defeated Hartford 51-48 in a Conference of New England women's basketball matchup Saturday afternoon at Dr. Eleanor Meyerhoff Katz Gymnasium.
Before the game, seniors Kylie McCarthy and Emerson Cherry were honored during a Senior Day Ceremony for their contributions to the Curry College women's basketball team.
The first half saw the lead change five times as the Hawks and the Colonels battled for the lead. Curry jumped out to a 6-0 lead to start the contest, led by Lauren Morse who knocked down a pair of three-pointers to finish with a team-high six points in the half.
Curry wasted no time in the second half, quickly jumping out to a 29-27 advantage off a layup by Sophie Hilbrunner. The Colonels never let the Hawks get back into the game, holding the lead for the rest of the contest.
McCarthy led all players with 15 points, going 3-for-6 from behind the three-point line. Morse also knocked down three triples to finish with 11 coming off the bench while Lauren Dunn added nine points and six rebounds.
With the win, the Colonels conclude the 2025 regular season with an overall record of 8-17 and a conference record of 5-13.
