Women’s Basketball Outlasted by Roger Williams

BRISTOL, R.I. - Curry College was defeated 60-52 by Roger Williams University in a Conference of New England women's basketball game Tuesday evening at the Roger Williams Campus Recreation Center.

With the loss, the Colonels fall to an overall record of 3-6 and a conference record of 0-3.

The Colonels played the Hawks even through three periods of play, led by Kylie McCarthy and Lauren Morse who combined for a total of 21 points and three three-pointers, leaving the score tied 46-46 heading into the final quarter. Morse had all six of the Colonels' points in the fourth off a pair of threes. The lapse in scoring caused the Colonels to ultimately succumb to the Roger Williams offensive attack.

McCarthy led Curry with 14 points on 5-for-10 shooting from the field. Morse finished with 13 coming off the bench in just 21 minutes of play, going 3-for-6 from the three-point line. Lauren Dunn knocked down a pair of threes to finish third on the team with nine points.

Curry College takes a two-week break for the holidays before returning to action on Tuesday, December 31st, to squeeze in one final road matchup against Johnson & Wales before the start of the New Year, beginning at 1 p.m.
