MILTON, Mass. - Curry College won their second straight game in a 91-51 victory over Dean College Tuesday night in a non-conference women's basketball game at Dr. Eleanor Meyerhoff Katz Gymnasium.
With the win, the Colonels improve to an overall record of 2-1 on the young season.
The Colonels jumped out to an early lead, scoring the first three field goals to go up 8-0 just one and a half minutes into the contest. Kasey Reeves led Curry in the first half with a team-high 10 points. Lauren Dunn was another major contributor in the half with nine points including one three-pointer.
The third quarter saw the Colonels outscore the visitors by a margin of 27-6, led by Dunn who scored 12 in the quarter while going 4-for-5 from the field and knocking down a pair of threes.
Dunn led all players with 26 points while snatching three steals. Reeves earned the double-double with 16 points and 10 rebounds while adding four blocks and two steals. Lauren Morse came off the bench and knocked down a pair of threes, finishing with 10 points and six rebounds.
The Colonels shot 44.6 percent from the field, knocking down 12 threes while outrebounding the Bulldogs by a margin of 45-37. The Curry offense was in sync, with 32 assists and 48 points in the paint. The home team also caused 39 turnovers and nabbed 22 steals.
Curry College returns to action on Thursday, November 21st, with an away game at Bowdoin beginning at 6 p.m.
