Rafferty Earns All-CCC Recognition
SPRINGFIELD, Mass. - A total of nine different institutions from the Commonwealth Coast Conference were represented on the 2011-12 All-CCC Women’s Basketball Team and the list of major individual award winners, it was announced today by Commissioner Gregg M. Kaye.

In addition to the all-conference team, University of New England senior Kelley Paradis was named CCC Player of the Year, Salve Regina University junior Kaitlyn Birrell was selected CCC Defensive Player of the Year, Gordon College’s freshman Leanna Tallamy was named CCC Rookie of the Year, University of New England’s Kari Pelletier was honored as CCC Senior Scholar-Athlete of the Year, Eastern Nazarene College’s Sacha Santimano was named CCC Coach of the Year and Gordon College received the Team Sportsmanship Award.
                        
Voting for the All-CCC team and each of the major awards was conducted among CCC women’s basketball coaches.

Joining Paradis and Tallamy on the first team were Kaitlyn Bovee (Roger Williams), Alexandria Lanieri (Roger Williams), Marissa Pendergast (Salve Regina), and Emily Savino (Western New England).

The second team members included Birrell, Samantha Crough (Endicott), Margo Russell (University of New England), Lindsay Shorey (Salve Regina) and Beth Suggs (University of New England).

Honorable mention went to Shardae Brown (Eastern Nazarene), Jordan Ferland (Endicott), Kendra Kerr (Wentworth), Alexis Malloy (Eastern Nazarene), Sarah Proper (Western New England), Hailey Rafferty (Curry) and Jennifer White (Endicott).
