CCC Softball Awards Earned by Rogers and Gonneville

BEVERLY, Mass. - Two Curry College softball athletes were recognized by the Commonwealth Coast Conference as the CCC announced the 2024 Softball Awards winners and All-Conference Teams. Honorees are selected by a vote of the league's head coaches based on regular-season play.

Jillian Rogers (East Freetown, Mass.) and Renee Gonneville (Saco, Maine) were both named Third Team All-Conference by the CCC for their exceptional performance throughout the 2024 softball season.

Rogers was a major force on the Curry College softball team as both a pitcher and a hitter. Rogers started as a pitcher in 17 games for the Colonels, appearing in 26. The junior pitched 122.1 innings, accumulating seven wins and two saves while striking out 170 batters for an average of 9.73 strikeouts per seven innings while maintaining an ERA of 3.32.

Rogers was just as effective as a batter, posting a .369 AVG, .464 OBP, and .650 SLG. She had a total of 39 hits, 19 walks, nine doubles, one triple, and six home runs, finishing with 23 RBIs and 19 runs scored.

Gonneville was another essential component of the Curry softball team. The freshman outfielder posted a .326 AVG, .404 OBP, and .416 SLG. She finished the 2024 campaign with 29 hits, 12 walks, three doubles, one triple, and one home run. Gonneville scored 23 runs and was responsible for 12 RBIs while stealing 10 bases throughout the season.

The Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC), founded in 1984, is an NCAA Division III athletic conference composed of 10 full-member and two associate-member institutions throughout the New England region. Its membership aims to provide student-athletes with a positive experience in their pursuit of excellence through high academic standards, quality competition, and a meaningful student life. The Conference administers Championships in 20 intercollegiate sports.
