Wenham, MA - The Curry softball team ended their season on Saturday, falling in both games of a doubleheader against Gordon. The Colonels end the season at 17-23 on the season, and 2-14 in CCC play. The Fighting Scots stand at 14-26 and 5-11.

Game One

The Colonels started the game off with a bang, as Jillian Rogers gave them an early lead in the first with a solo home run, her sixth of the season. But it was all Gordon after that, as they scored runs in the second, third, fourth, and fifth, going up 7-1. Curry would get two runs back, the first in the sixth on an error, and the second on a Natalia O'Kleasky single in the seventh. But that was it, and the Colonels fell 7-3.

The Colonels had six hits, with all of them coming from the top of the lineup, as Natalia O'Kleasky, Jillian Rogers, and Morgan Barmash each had two hits. Caitlyn Wood was given the loss after pitching the first four innings. Rogers then pitched two shutout innings in relief, striking out five.

Game Two

Playing in the 136th and final game of her career, Taylor McDermott got the Colonels on the board first with an RBI single. But the Scots would answer with two in the bottom half of the inning, before adding another in the second to make it 3-1. They would then expand on their lead with two in the fifth and a final run in the sixth. They took game two 6-1.

Of the five Curry hits, McDermott had two of them, giving her 115 on her career. Also wrapping up her career was Madelyn White. White had a single in this game, the 99th of her career. Jillian Rogers started for the Colonels, going four innings. She struck out five. She ends the season with an 7-10 record, and a career high 170 strikeouts.
