Softball Honors Seniors against WNE

Milton, MA - The Curry softball team fell in both of their games against Western New England on Sunday, dropping to 15-21 on the season and 2-12 in CCC play. The Golden Bears are now 22-10 and 10-4.

Prior to the games today, the Colonels honored their four seniors: Jordan Ferullo, Madelyn White, Taylor McDermott, and Caitlyn Wood.

Game One

Western New England scored early in game one, putting three runs up in the first. They would then add three more in the third, and two in the fifth, winning 8-0.

Jordan Ferullo, Madelyn White, and Natalia O'Kleasky each recorded a single. Caitlyn Wood was handed the loss, pitching all five innings for the Colonels.

Game Two

The Golden Bears once again jumped out to an early lead, scoring once in second, four times in the third, and once more in the fourth to go up 6-0. They would then add three more in the seventh before winning 9-0.

The Colonels recorded four hits, with Jordan Ferullo, Taylor McDermott, Jillian Rogers and Renee Gonneville each getting a single. Morgan Barmash started for the Colonels, picking up the loss by going four innings. Rogers would pitch three innings in relief, striking out six, the first of which was the 300th of her career.

Up next - The Colonels will play their last home games of the season on Wednesday when they host Mass. Maritime at 3pm.
