CLERMONT, Fla. - The Curry College Softball team fell to non-conference opponent 9-0 Monday evening. 

With the loss, Curry is now 2-2 on the season.

The evening matchup saw the two sides in a deadlocked opening two frames, both teams failing to mark more than one hit in either inning. 

North Park struck first with a three-run homer to left-center from Alyssa Aragon, grabbing a quick lead over the Colonels. Aragon would send another out of the park in the seventh inning, this time a grand slam, pushing the Vikings further into the lead; 7-0. Two more scores from the Vikings capped the contest at 9-0.

Both Lexi Buckner and Emily Bussiere recorded hits in the evening bout.

The Colonels get back out on the field Wednesday as they take on Bethel (Minn.) and Edgewood. Games are set for 9:15 & 11:30 AM.
