Newcomb, Ferullo Grab All-CCC Softball Honors

MILTON, Mass. – Two members of the Curry College softball team were named to Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) All-Conference teams on Wednesday afternoon, as announced by the league in its release of annual awards.

Senior Taylor Newcomb (Millville, Mass.) was named to the First Team as the utility player while freshman Jordan Ferullo (Burlington, Mass.) was selected as an outfielder on the Third Team. All awards were determined by a vote of the conference's head coaches.

Newcomb batted .338 with 12 RBI and 11 runs scored in 25 games. She also led the team with 33 total bases. In addition to her offensive contributions, she pitched 56.1 innings and sported an overall record of 3-9 with 16 strikeouts. Additionally, she picked up one save.

Ferullo earns the Third Team nod following a freshman campaign in which she batted .317 to go along with five RBI, four stolen bases, and 13 runs scored in 25 games. She was recognized as the CCC Rookie of the Week on March 29.

Curry finished the season with an overall record of 5-20 and went 4-12 in CCC play.
