MILTON, Mass. – The Curry College softball team lost to visiting Endicott College, 20-5, in five innings on Wednesday afternoon. Game two was canceled due to inclement weather. After game one, the team honored its five seniors in a special ceremony.

Game One – Endicott 20, Curry 5 (5 innings)

Endicott wasted little time getting on the scoreboard, plating two in the top of the first. Freshman Meghan Connor (St. Albans, Vt.) reached on a throwing error at third base, which allowed Favreau to come around and score. Following a double to left field by sophomore Raven Comtois (Milford, N.H.), junior Lauren Misiaszek (Londonderry, N.H.) grounded out to second base to bring home Connor.

After senior Taylor Newcomb (Millville, Mass.), senior Jordan Perzan (Burlington, Conn.), and freshman Jordan Ferullo (Burlington, Mass.) got aboard, senior Kiana Lloyd (Worcester, Mass.) delivered a bases-clearing double to center field to put the Colonels in front 3-2.

The Gulls' offense exploded in the second inning, scoring 16 runs on 11 hits to build an 18-3 advantage.

Curry got a run back in the home half of the second on a single up the middle from junior Alexis Buckner (Foxboro, Mass.). The base hit scored sophomore Camryn Willis (Foxboro, Mass.).

Endicott put up two more in the third to increase the lead to 20-4.

The Colonels tallied their final run on a groundout to second base from sophomore Emily Bussiere (Stow, Mass.). Ferullo crossed home on the play for the 20-5 final.

Junior Molly O'Neill (Shrewsbury, Mass.) secured her first win in the circle for the Gulls. She tossed the final 4.1 innings and gave up two runs on three hits to go along with three walks and two strikeouts.

Newcomb was given the loss in the circle, surrendering 11 runs (10 earned) on seven hits.

Curry (5-16 overall) remains home to host Western New England University on Friday April, 23 in a doubleheader beginning at 2:30 p.m. Endicott (11-2 overall) will travel to the Wentworth Institute of Technology on Saturday, April 24 for a doubleheader starting at noon.
