BEVERLY, Mass. – The Curry College softball team dropped a pair of games at Endicott College on Sunday afternoon, falling by final scores of 8-0 and 17-0 in conference action.

Endicott's pitching dominated the day. Graduate student Michaela Hamill (Lynn, Mass.) allowed only two hits in the opener while sophomore Maria Hanchuk (South Windsor, Conn.) and freshman Abigail Gilbert (Millbury, Mass.) combined to toss a four-hitter in the second game.

Senior Taylor Newcomb (Millville, Mass.) delivered two singles in the opener, but the Colonels couldn't capitalize. Hamill then retired the final eight batters she faced to improve to 4-1 on the season.

In the second game, the Gulls took control with an 11-run top of the first. They would add six more in the second and would go on to take the contest 17-0 in five innings. Four Curry student-athletes registered a hit in game two.

Curry (5-15 overall, 4-10 CCC) and Endicott (10-2 overall, 9-1 CCC) will play another doubleheader at Curry on Wednesday, April 21 at 2:30 p.m.
