MILTON, Mass. - Curry College senior shortstop/third base Megan Flaherty (Medway, Mass.) and freshman infielder Marissa Bruno (Milford, Conn.) have been named as Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) Player and Rookie of the Week, respectively, for their performances during the period ending on April 5.

Flaherty hit safely in eight games, as the Colonels went 7-1 last week, including a 5-1 record in conference play. On the week Flaherty batted .484 (15-for-31) producing at least one run in seven games, as the senior scored ten times. The infielder also recorded nine RBI, four doubles, one home run, and one stolen base. In conference action, Flaherty hit .500 (11-for-22), as the Colonels recorded a doubleheader sweep of Gordon and Eastern Nazarene and then split their twinbill with Roger Williams.

Bruno hit safely in all eight of the Colonels games last week. The rookie hit an impressive .571 (12-for-21) in conference action and .500 (14-for-28) in a 7-1 week for Curry. Bruno recorded 16 RBI, scored 10 runs, belted four home runs, hit three doubles, drew two walks, and stole one base on the week.
