SPRINGFIELD, Mass. - Curry College freshman pitcher Taylor Ahearn (Salem, Mass.) has been named as Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) Rookie of the Week for March 19-26. It marks the second week in a row that she has received this honor from the league.

Last week, Ahearn threw four complete games to post a 3-1 weekly record. In 27 innings, she collected an ERA of 1.04 while striking out 27. Her best performance of the week came in a four-hit shutout of non-conference opponent Fitchburg State, in which she tossed a shutout to help the Colonels to a 7-0 win. She fanned a week-high eight batters and walked just one in the contest.
