Simpson tossed a one-hit, complete-game shutout to allow Salve Regina to gain the split. In seven innings, she did not issue a walk while striking out five. The Seahawks got the only run they would need on a first-inning RBI triple by Edine that plated Ali Muehlbronner with an unearned run.  Simpson helped her own cause by driving in an insurance run in the fifth.
