In Game 1, the visitors scored at least one run in all seven innings off Curry starter Amanda Peters (East Bridgewater, MA). Among the big blows for Endicott were a two-run double by junior Hayley Hovhanessian (Farmington, CT) in the 4th and a three run home run by freshman Nicole Devlin (Dudley, MA) in the 7th.
The Colonels got all three of their runs in the 5th, two of which came on a pair of bases-loaded walks issued by Gulls' junior starter Jenna Bortolotti (Milton, MA).
Endicott pounded out 14 hits, including three each from senior Jenna Lazar (Milton, MA) and sophomore Katherine McGann (Topsfield, MA). Curry got multi-hit games from senior Kristen Jackman (Stoughton, MA), junior Janelle Mayo (Worcester, MA) and freshman Amanda Felzmann (Bellingham, MA).
Bortolotti picked up the win, improving to 10-5 on the season. Peters (4-8) absorbed the loss.
In Game 2, the Colonels jumped out to a two-run, first-inning lead, but were held scoreless for the remainder of the game by Gulls' freshman Kayla Carignan (Laconia, NH). A two-run home run by Peters gave the hosts their temporary 3-1 edge.
Endicott tied the game in the second, and took the lead for good in the fourth as McGann and junior Ashley Wright (Merrimack, NH) each plated a run.
Lazar added three more hits to her total on the day, matched in the nightcap by freshman Krista Fales, who also had three hits. Felzmann went 2-for-4 for the Colonels, bringing her two-game total to four hits in seven at-bats.
Carignan upped her record to 8-4, scattering nine hits over seven innings while walking just one. Mayo saw her season mark dip to 7-4 after allowing 12 hits, three walks and five earned runs over her seven frames of work.
