Men's Tennis Swept by Western New England

MILTON, Mass. - The Curry College men's tennis team fell 9-0 to Western New England University in its season opener Sunday afternoon at the Trent J. Scott '96 Tennis Courts.

With the defeat, Curry falls to 0-1 overall on the season and opens Commonwealth Coast Conference play at 1-0.

The Golden Bears picked up wins in all three doubles matches to jump out to the early lead. 

Western New England continued to control the play in singles play, closing out the 9-0 win. The closest result came at fourth singles, where Colonel freshman Finn Sullivan (Newburyport, Mass.) fell 6-1, 4-6, 10-7.

Next up for the Colonels, they will return to action on Tuesday with a road trip to Roger Williams University. First serves in doubles play are slated for 4 p.m.
