Men's Tennis Shut Out by Salve Regina

NEWPORT, R.I. - The Curry College men's tennis team was swept by Salve Regina University Monday afternoon in Commonwealth Coast Conference action at the Salve Regina Tennis Courts.

With the defeat, Curry continues to seek its first win at 0-10 overall and 0-3 in the CCC.

Salve Regina won each of the three doubles matches in convincing fashion, dropping only two points among the three matches.

In singles play, Salve closed out the sweep by winning each of the six matches. Junior Nick Bell (Haverhill, Mass.) and senior David Monteiro (Fall River, Mass.) had the tightest matches for Curry, each falling 6-4, 6-3 at second and fifth singles respectively.

Curry will be back in action on Tuesday, hosting Roger Williams University at home. First serves from the Trent J. Scott '96 Tennis Courts are slated for 3 p.m.
