Men's Tennis Knocked Off By Salem State

SALEM, Mass. - The Curry College men's tennis team was swept 9-0 by Salem State University Thursday afternoon in non-conference action at the SSU Tennis Courts.

With the defeat, Curry continues to seek its first win of the 2022 season, falling to 0-7 overall.

The Vikings claimed all three doubles matches to open the afternoon and take a commanding 3-0 lead heading to singles. Curry was able to keep it tight to open the day at the second doubles position, but senior Tim O'Brien (Attleboro, Mass.) and junior Kevin Meade (Milton, Mass.) eventually fell by a final of 8-5.

Salem State secured the sweep by winning all six singles matches.

The Colonels will return home on Saturday to continue conference play against Nichols College at 12 p.m.
